John Puhr, the founder of Mountain West HR Solutions, is a senior human resource generalist with twenty-five years experience in the application of human resource practices in support of business strategies.  He is innovative, results oriented, and capable of partnering with management teams.  His areas of expertise include compensation and benefits administration, policy development and administration, talent acquisition, assessment and development, affirmative action, and employment and labor law.

John has held HR manager level positions with BP Amoco, and HR director level positions with Edwards Lifesciences.  Since beginning his consulting practice, he has worked with such companies as Advanced Sterilization Products (a Johnson & Johnson Company), Biosense Webster (a Johnson & Johnson Company), Western Digital, and Hines Horticulture. 

John has Master’s degrees from Mississippi State University in Clinical Psychology and the University of Alabama in Human Resources Management.  John’s work currently focuses on Affirmative Action Planning along with associated selection process validation, compensation analysis, and OFCCP Compliance Audit support.
